If you start to brake down the klt by years, 84, 85 and 86 is when it gets a little crazy. In 1984, there were early model and late model klt110 and the red was the more common color. The main difference being the early 84 110 having a plain seat with the red and white stripes and the mid to late 84 110 seat having no passenger burned into it. Also the 84 fenders were slightly different by having an open area behind the seat and solid front fender. The 85 110, which seemed more common in black, had the solid front fender but the later rear fenders where the "tool box" area had a seperate cover with tabs that fit into rubber mounts that were in the fender plus rubber latches holding down the toolbox to the very back of the fender. The 86, which again, more common in black, had a louvered front fender plus the later rear fender with the tool box cover and the rubber latches. Also the decals were slightly different, but can't remember the differences exactly. I like the klt110 frames, but the weak point was those stupid flimsy gear shifter shafts.
