ok....3rd gear makes a ratcheting noise...so i took the motor apart, split the cases...nothing wrong with the gears, all the thrust washers are in there....but theres a little spot on a shifting fork where somethings been grinding into it....its not that big of a mark, maybe a 1/16 of an inch...do you think thats why it wont shift into 3rd??? every other gear shifts great!
