Can u fit a car headlamp to a 250R and if so will the stock stator have enough juice to light it up??

Writing in all caps is considered yelling here and is not really welcome.

I have seen it done before, however I would not reccommend it, the stator would be under a high load and could be burnt up.

As long as the low beam / High Beam wattage is the same or less, the car headlight will work fine. The plug on a 200X is the same. Years ago I was riding at Beverly in eastern Washington and one of the 200X's that was there had no headlight. After it got dark Steve was sitting around camp bemoaning his fate. We told him to take the big single headlight out of his ford truck, and we duct taped it to a seat of rags between his forks. He rode like that all weekend, and then had to put the headlight back in his truck to drive home.

Sweet, i will make something snazzy out of a car lamp and let you guys know how it turns out. Anybody know what wattage the stock lights run at?

This is my rig on the TriZ:

Most ATVS are capable of delivering for 50-100 watt just fine. The TriZ is probabbly about the weakest, and 75 wats total is about the max I can go on it. These are AutoZone 35 watt sealed beam trapzoidal lamps mounted upside down, with the bolt ground off flush with the nut. The mounting plate on top was added. These are single filament lamps, and rigged to both be lighted at the same time, with no hi/lo. Ive used others, and they either fall apart or the filaments shortly after the first ride. I remember Blazer lights pecifically having about a 5 miinute lifespan for offroad. Many cant handle the shock. If I remember right, these were about $15 for the pair. These are very durable, and Ive even left them on during my summer motcross races, and they still work great, and are much easier to ride with at night than the stock TriZ lamp system which really sucks.

i have a headlight out of an 85 s-10 blazer in my 85 atc 250r, it is a direct fit and bolts up perfectly, been that way for a few months now with no problem.
