front axle noise

I just got home from a good ride and I noticed that the front wheel is squeaking when I roll my big red back and fourth. It is squeaking where the wheel spins on the axle. Could this be a bent front axle(i hope not)?

Did ya smash into anything? Then I doubt you bent the axle....

It wouldn't track right.

Most likely it's your front axle bearings.

No I didn't smash into anything. How would you know if you bent an axle? I am thinking that it is the bearings too because when I turn it to the right it sqeaks.

Try turning left, does it bark?? :lol:

If you haven't replaced the bearings in years and they've seen water/mud etc, it's time.

Get the trike off the ground and wiggle the front tire, there should be no play at all.

it sounds like the front wheel bearings to me had it happen several times on my big red.
