The paint should come off pretty easy. Go to the auto parts store and buy some airplane stripper. Read the instructions and it should work great for you.

YEP! Tal-Strip Aircraft Coating Remover..... Works AWESOME! Just be careful of the fumes and try not to get it on you bare skin... The stuff is pretty potent.

cant believe we got to wait all the way till monday to see some real pics of this jem. walmart sells kleen strip stripper in a metalic orange aerosol can white cap! works great, just used it on some like new sx fenders that some yahoo camo'ed up! dont get it on your skin though! most of the stuff says dont use on plastics, but ive never had a problem, just dont leave it on too long , and wash with soap and water when done! thankfully for you white is the most forgiving color to work with!! i feel for the poor fellow trying to redo the black klt fenders!

not finished here, but you can see its working well, i just let it set a min or so after spraying, it starts to bubble almost right away. i used a wet rag, and kept rinsing it. you could prob spray the whole thing and blast it with a pressure washer, but i did not do it that way.

just wanted to add that if the plastics had that oem shine still like these ones did when they were painted most of the paint will blast right off with a pressure washer. alot of the paint came off mine just by wasing it.

Just picked it up today. Goods way cleaner then I thought, the tank on it is brand new never used and seat cleaned up perfect. Bad its missing the grab bar, tank shrouds, and rear fender mounting brackets the fenders should clean up good. Oh yeah after 18 years of sitting, I did a oil change and put fresh gas in it and it started on the first kick:) ill post some pics tomorrow.

The seller must have drained the carb if it sat for 18 years and it started first kick. Nice find.

Nice find and an NOS tank too. That alone is probably worth what you paid for the trike. Good score!!
