What is the helmet holder for? I noticed it has a wire connecting to it. I heard somewhere that its like a power outlet or something.

There was some sort of spotlight you could buy from Honda that plugged into there. It was sort of like a Q Beam. I have seen photos before somewhere on old Honda literature, but I have never seen an actual one, or heard much about them. If they did sell them, it wasn't many.

What a few of us have done is convert the OEM power outlet to a regular 12v power outlet. I've used mine for a spotlight, MP3 player, air compressor, and a small map light I have for it... works awesome.

you can just wire in the outlet plug to the BR plug.
i recommend not cutting/pulling the factory BR power outlet plug. the original BR plug has a spot for the spotlight to plug in, but there's a secondary aux spot that you can wire into on the side of the plug. my buddy has a sealed outlet plug (like 350er's but for boats, so it's water proof) mounted in his trunk for air compressor and stuff. he just picked up a spotlight (non-Hondaline) and he's going to wire in the same kind of sealed outlet plug to this secondary aux hook up off the BR power outlet and mount it next to the BR plug and run his spotlight off it. hope that makes sense to ya. :beer

I used a junk stock plug... the wires were still good but the plug was dry rotted. Turn on the key and you have power to the plug... whole thing took 15 minutes to do(there is a bird's nest of wires under that cover beneath the light).
