200x needing rear master cylinder

A friend has his 200x that he bought back in 85. He says he's tried rebuilding his rear master cylinder, but to no avail. Is there any substitution available to replace it? Any other ideas?

Adapt a 450R master to fit if he can't rebuild his; or rebuild another used one if his is worn beyond it's tolerances....

Does anyone sell rebuilt master cylinders? I think he couldn't get his old one apart for some reason. My only involvement is him asking me if I knew of where to find one.
