Looking to put a new complete exhaust on my 86'X but seems I can only find DG's.Are they very good or worth it instead of the stock one I have now?It has quite a bit of motor work done to it and it really feels like its holding back some of its power with the stock exhaust.

This is the one I was looking at http://www.ebay.com/itm/HONDA-ATC-200X-ATC200X-DG-EXHAUST-SYSTEM-86-87-Z-/150586968502?pt=Motors_ATV_Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr&hash=item230faec9b6

Are there any others avaliable that will fit?Apart from waiting to find a supertrapp for sale on here or ebay is the DG above a good choice?

I have a chrome DG and it definetly made a difference over the stock. I upped the main jet to a 118 and it sounds pretty sweet and runs well.138620

My choice would be something that passes for offroad / forest service specs for noise and sparks.
unless it's not an issue for you.
Also consider you may have to change carb jets a few times
due to air flow and pressure changes.
It would be nice if the mufflers came with some sort of suggestions
regarding jetting.

Not really an issue for me...I really don't care much about how loud it is as long as it improves overall performance.

im not totaly shure if this is a bassani but it is a wicked 200x pipe if you get the maching head pipe and go up 2 mm on the carb i havent got it on mine but it was on a 200x i rode and it sounds way more like a race bike than my 200x motor i cant wait to reweld this for my 185 frame

DG is decent, my buddy had one on an 86'. It sounded tough as hell. I'd go for it...

That is a Bassani in the picture. Go with a Supertrapp. They have adjustable discs for tuning and sound great. I dyno'd my trike with both a Supertrapp and Bassani and the Supertrapp performed the best by far.

dg pipes are the only new ones that i found. every thing else that i find i use and usually beaten up a bit. go with the dg alum to keep the weight down and less worries about corrosion good luck

You can make an 85 ST fit, Bassani too (but, they are HEAVY). You will just have to re-bend the headpipe or make a midpipe/cone......

And GOD, do I hate DG, super loud, no back pressure. Just a top end pipe.........

DG is nothing great but better than nothing. If you repack it tight not near as loud.I tried putting 12 3" Supertrapp discs without much luck.Wasn't exhausting to well.Maybe I will try another 6 discs.Or wait and hope not to get outbid on ebay on different pipe.Dennis Kirk had DG for a reasonable price.
