Been in the chat room several times. Nobody chats, or you get ignored outright.

I have experanced that too. An older version of a web site for a car club I am in use to show a list of who was in chat so others could see how many or who was in there. It helped get numbers in the room when you could see a friend or two in there.

everytime i go into the chat it tells me to download something to use it.
