I picked up this Big Red a few months ago, and have done a light restore on it....mainly just some elbow grease and such to get it looking like new again. The only thing I repainted were the front and rear racks along with the front basket. I put a new spark plug and Honda air filter and gave the battery a fresh charge. She purrs like a kitten and runs/drives like new. The guy I bought it from used it on his farm to haul stuff, it probably never got past 3rd gear. I've added the following Hondaline parts to it since I've had it: tripmeter kit, rubber steps, front basket, worklight, and headlight grille. The only other accessory I have left to get for it is the rear mudflap set with the exhaust tip deflector. Here are the pics :welcome:13776913777013777113777213777313777413777 5

Yeah I have contemplated doing that, but I'd be worried that more than thick sticker may come off if I try...This is the first Big Red that I've seen with 3 warning stickers on the tank...most of them have just the center one. The original owner bought this bike in the spring of '87 so the dealer must have been required to put those other 2 stickers on the tank because of the CSPC rulings that just occured at the time.

definately a very nice big red. I agree with 007, those white warning labels gotta go. they should come off easy with a heat gun. those decals were mailed to owners of atc's who were on record at dealerships. i have a few that came in bundles of paperwork with some atc's i have bought in the past. those manual holders are rare!!

wow. that thing is great. hopefully one of my BR's will look that good or at least half that good. and as stated above.... those white warning stickers gotta go..... it won't hurt that paint at all.

I'll have to try removing them with a heat gun, hopefully they'll come ok.

Yeah those 2 stickers belong on the LR fender and not on the tank. Thats how my original 87 is any how. Very nice machine!

My dad's 84 200s has them there. Honda mailed them to him and thats where they instructed that he place them.

Thanks guys, this is the 2nd '87 Big Red that I have owned, and I still regret getting rid of the first one. This one is definitely for keeps!

Beautiful specimen!

I have a not quite perfect, but excellent original condition '84 BR. I would like to get a 2nd gen BR some day. But for now, Ol' Red and I still enjoy the leisurely rides together. Wonderfully handy machines those BR's!

U know I've never really been attracted to the 250 Big Reds. But this one looks really nice. I guess those Hondaline products are worth it. Nice work.
