I just picked up a 1984 1st gen 200x with what I think is a heavy duty Westcoast swinger. It is definitely not a stocker. It has very nice welds, no brake hose mounts, and the skid plate mounts go from one side to the other just like the westcoast style. There is also a braided rear brake hose on it and that is what first caught my eye. My wife has the camera in her car so I'll have to wait for pics.

The bike also has so sort of aftermarket exhaust that uses the heat shields but I have found no ID marks on it yet.

And the last thing, the guy said there is some sort of after market cam in it and there is a spacer on the back side of the cover that says CDI that is not from the factory either.

I'll get some pics tonight when the old lady gets home. I did however pull the rocker cover off and it has a roller bearing camshaft. That is what the spacer plate is behind the pulse generator. The cam has the numbers L4300N stamped in it, but I'm not able to come up with anything. The P.O. also said it had a dome piston in it but I haven't verified it yet.

Well it looks like it has the Megacycle cam kit with both roller bearings and is the smaller of the cams that megacycle offers.

I know its killing me also. I just looked at a close up pic of the swinger on the Powroll race bike and it is in fact a HD Westcoast. The shock mount is cracked on mine though and I wonder how hard it will be to find one of those? Now I just have to figure out this exhaust. It has a stainless steel header pipe with mounts for a shield and the muffler also has a shield on it.

The head pipe that came with the bike does not go to it. It must be for another bike that he had laying around. So I just have the muffler and does anyone know what brand of muffler this is?

It looks a lot like a bassani muffler to me, but never seen one with the heat shield? Someone may have put that on? So why does it have the extra cover @ the cdi? Is the cam longer or somthing?

Just have that westcoast tig welded....Its not the swinger that is cracked, but the aluminum pivot link that the shock bolts to.

I Agree very easy to weld the nuts on there to accept any heat shield! Did it to my aftermarket header on my 350x to look stock.

Yep, I bet that's the one. I was looking at the polished DG pipes that have the tag riveted on and since I didn't see any holes I didn't think that was it, but it looks identical to the RCM pipe. Thanks fellas.
