I mounted up a new front tire today.Problem now is getting it to inflate. The beads from both sides of the tire touch each other.I tried using a ratchet strap. Also tried starting fluid. My next idea was to remove it.Wedge it open for while, maybe apply some heat even.Any other tricks?

Local truck or farm tire guy will have a air pig with a big flat nozzle and big ball valve, It will dump enough air volume in there it should push the tire out to the beads.

My local tire shop isn't much and are really busy.Plus the hate atv tires.

Then keep F-Ng with it, use that ratchet strap in the middle, move it around, try more or less, bounce it, smash it, bang on it. Sooner or later it will seat. I have had issues myself, only had to light it up once but I always got them to seat.
Your air is just escaping and you need the one second to close it enough to start seating.

TRY AT YOUR OWN RISK , THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS !!!
take a can of starter fluid and spray around the inside and then a line from the inside to the out side , have a long stick with a flame ready , once you spray the tire and lay flat on the ground light it with your stick and poof it's up , have a air hose ready and put air in it asap as it will deflate fast .. if it don't work first time make your sure you blow all the burned air out of inside of tire or it will not work again it will just burn slow with no poof action .. do this outside if at all possable !! and for gods sake if your a newbie do not try , I REPETE DO NOT TRY , THIS CAN BE VERY DANGEROUS IF YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW THIS WORKS !! HAIRSPRAY WILL ALSO WORK .. IT DON'T TAKE MUCH SPRAY TO MAKE THIS WORK , MORE IS NOT BETTER !! IF YOU TRY THIS PLEASE BE CAREFUL ..
GOOD LUCK .. TRY AND FIND A TIRE STORE IF AT ALL POSSABLE ..

I've not had one elude me yet, even if it means using ether. I hate using it and I once blew a brand new tire clear off the rim. I destroyed the tire and actually had to re-mount it after the first round and explode it again, but it held air overnight until the bead totally gave way. It was seated though, at one time. :D

I would pull the valve stem (the spring-loaded device inside) out so If you can't get the air on there fast enough the cooling vacuum won't suck the tire off the bead, plus it will let excess pressure out and maybe save your tire if you get too much spray in there.

How much do tubes cost?
Thinking either permanent or temporary.
any old swimmin' tube stuffed in there and let it sit where it's warm for a day or 2?
dismount it and shove a block of wood between the beads and let it sit overnight, would be suprised how much they will spread out. a thick grease will also help close gaps with w ratcht strap, pull the valve core out more air the better. à bead blaster dose work best, im not going to start on the starter fluid subject...

This is my method and I've had excellent results:
Like others have said-
1. Take out the valve core. If you don't have the tool they should be available at your local auto parts store.
Then-
2. Take the inflator tool out of the chuck on your air hose and push the chuck directly onto the valve stem, as MTS said above, the more air flow the better. (Note: if you have really short valve stems this may not work for you)
3. You may still need a strap, and/or the bounce, smash, bang tactics Dirtcrasher mentioned above. YMMV
4. Keep your valve core close by and keep a firm grip on it when you go to re-install it, or you may be searching for it. ;)

When I mounted the front tire on my 350X I just used ether and a match, no long sticks here! Spray it in, get a little puddle on the sidewall and throw a match at it. Works every time. I did mine under my lift so it wouldnt go flying, just lifted the lift up like 6 inches slid the tire under and tossed the match.

Linda's neighbor got lifeflighted.
Why?
welp? he said the compressor was set too high and the tire overinflated.
Split rim? nope, illegal in Oregon for years.
Huh?
whaaaa?
as far as we know, the compressor was set at a few hundred pounds?
and just exploded the tire itself.
True?
an excuse so he wouldn't feel so stupid?
Mythbusters say stuff blows UP, so best to stay low.
..and he can almost get his hand to his face now after a year.
just sayin'

the thing i use that works best is to push the wheel down at an angle so it sits on the bead on one spot and and it seals up around one side. ratchet strap that side of the wheel so the tire bead wont slip off and you have to start over. flip the tire up on its side and then try to put air in it while pressing wheel in the spot where the gap is the greatest. probably best to use soap a little soap on the side your pressing and not strapping.
carb cleaner, NOT starting fluid. I am a tire installer. 1-2 seconds of carb cleaner is all. PULL THE VALVE CORE!! then spray for 2 seconds, and drop a match but WATCH YOUR FINGERS/TOES/ ETC ETC. the tire will bead seat instantly. If you cant get a dropped match to it in time, push on the tire with your foot to allow air in, wait 30 seconds, and spray and repeat.
