Hi, I've just (today) bought a 1984 Honda 200ES. Daft question but what sort of fuel should I use. I don't know the American terms, but is it leaded or unleaded??

Thanks

Ive never heard of anyone using Leaded gas in an atv, but i supposed you could.....Everyone i know runs Unleaded, so thats what i would go with if i were you. ;)

Yep just regular(87 octane) unleaded should do the trick. Where are you from? Welcome to the board!

Great. Thanks.

I'm from a small town in Shropshire England called Wem. The board and website look great. I'm sure I will be visiting here regularly from now.

In the early 80's both "regular" (leaded) and unleaded were being sold, and at that time most people were using "regular " leaded gas which was 89 octane, but unleaded gas has been safe to use in most vehicles designated to run on leaded gas with only a few exceptions. In the US you cant even get leaded gas any more. If its available where you are, Id suggest using leaded over unleaded if its similarly priced.
