Is that a regular castellated nut that takes a cotter pin?
I forget.
Napa has nylock nuts, just make sure the thread pitch is what you want.
Maybe double nut it?
Better yet, get the right one.
Bikebandit lists them but not sure if they stock them.

No not the axle end nuts. If you bought a aftermarket one, they come with disc brake hubs built in. They call them, anti fade.

I bought a bunch before they got DC'd; I don't know if you can buy them now or not. I'm sure someone has a used one for you, try classifieds.......

Took it too work today. It got wire brush, filed, threads traced. I couldn't figure out what size thread it was...oh well It works good as new!
I love the lathe!

How do I assemble this thing now?
I know there's a snap ring, but im not sure where it goes when i put the jam nuts on. Can someone give me a step by step of putting the jam nuts in and what not.

Good god..................
The larger nut merely pushes the splined inner collar against the bearing. That makes the axle tight, then the one and only jam nut gets tightened in place.
As usual, use a pipe wrench and scar the hell out of it as most people do.
The nut is LH threads.....
It's very easy once you look at how it becomes longer or shorter to take up the play.

Not what I'm asking. I know all of that. and I have a Gforce wrench made for this doing this. :naughty:
I figured it out! Sent a order to Service Honda, for a o-ring and that 32mm clip. Next bleeding my brakes!
Thanks for your help though. I explain things hard sometimes.

Service Honda.does not have that clip. Anyone got one laying around or know where to get one?

Maybe you can use a 300EX axle clip (if it has one). I'm not sure......
It seems like the same damn clip in many steering stems, that part is never listed but may work. The diameter would tell you.
Try classifieds.

300ex is 37mm. I'm looking around for one. I might have to make one on the lathe!

You can make the clip retainer on a lathe, but not the clip. If it is CNC, I would make extras.
That clip must use a predetermined size of round stock and it's formed/bent in a machine to end up with the proper diameter.
