I have got my old 1985 250ES running like new, sorted out all of its little issues, it is ready to ride. The fuel tank is shot, though. Many pinholes before I even start trying to clean the rust out. If I spend any time at all cleaning the rust, it is going to have a zilion small holes in it, no doubt. too bad, cause the paint on it is not bad.
So I put a tank from a 1985 Yamaha YFM80 on it. It works but looks a bit tarded due to its small size.
Has anyone even put a tri-moto 200 plastic tank on a big red? it looks like it is about the correct size and proportion. With a little cobb jobbery I bet it could work...
