I need to get some studs for my front tire for ice racing.Where is the best place to buy? What is the best tool to install them?My rear tires already had them in but don't think they are Kold Kutters. They are silver with big washer.Any ideas what brand they might be?

I gat most of my stuff from a local dealer, almost all of them can order from Parts Unlimited. You may have to check with your local racing rules to see what you can and can't use. The ones in the rear tires might be sheet metal screws.
I had a Banshee a few years ago with 1 1/4 inch snowmobile carbide studs in the rear tires. I don't remember the exact amount in each rear tire but it was somewhere around 40. They looked like pissed off porcupines lol. My buddy has the quad now and unbelievably those studded tires have never went flat.

I use a drill with a 1/4" adapter and socket. Adjust the clutch on the drill so you do not over tighten. I would run kold kutters on all, here is a link I found-

kold kutters as well. tighten them just until they snug the lug, not squish it.

over air the tires then run the studs in, then air them down to riding pressure, so they will hold air better.
good luck
