I've been looking for a wide axle for my 84' T3 but have'nt found anythingyet, but i know of a place about 100 miles from me that makes custom axles.
I was thinking maybe get i'll a wide axle made but with honda spec splines so i can run trx 450r hubs and i've got some 10" Douglas yellow label beadlocks with BKT hd's ( my old race tyres but have got plenty of life in them for the T3) what do you think??
but i'll need and alloy front rim aswell? i've got a drum brake on the front though!

ITP sold aluminum front wheels for the 84. As for fitting 4/110 wheels on the 13 splined Tecate axle you can use an 85 KLF185 hubs which are 4/110. I sent you a pm about the axle..

if you use an 2nd gen carrier the 400 hubs will fit and add about 2-3 inches plus you can get extended hubs which would add even more. Just an option but it may be alot cheaper than having an axle made, also the 2nd gen axle is quite a bit beefier than a first gen.

I spoke to the axle maker today and he said he'll build me any axle any spec, if i get them to make me one i'll probably have it made with honda trx 450 size splines on the ends so i can run honda hubs as i've got some nice 10" douglas beadlocks to go on it!!

Its gonna cost around $320 and will be stainless steel so no rusting!!!

What do you think or should i just buy a durablue axle??

Not really when you think about it your getting a completely custom axle, which is probably better than the dura blue for not that much more money.

The price is right kfx racer but th thing that bothers me is the grade of stainless They must be using to keep cost that low.

They were made. I also have +4 Lonestar Axcaliber axles for the 84-85 tecate, with either Honda TRX wheel splines or Honda EX wheel splines. PM me if interested.
