Just got done absolutely LMFAO for 2 straight minutes!!!! "Unlimited supply of bed frames"??????? Some mother@#$^ is sleeping on the floor tonight in BC!! lol......I am glued to this thread. I think you may be one sandwhich short of a picnic but you still have great imagination and hack skills......a lot like some of my ideas at times. Good luck And good lord.....gotta love the old milwaukee empty beer case in the pic:lol::lol:....now it all makes sense:lol::lol:

Personally I was considering putting an Electra Glide on the road, but after reading this I've decided to just weld a set of peddles to the front forks and ride it like a moped...

Actually, I have to say, the kid has heart, but it would be nice if someone gave him a bit of direction...

The bed frames standing up in your first pic are a nice touch. For some reason I fear for the lower unit on that boat motor, I can see that prop mounted on this trike somewhere. Lol

Another instant classic from BC.
You could charge admission for your build threads.
I gotta say, for what you are working with, that frame doesn't look half bad, and I am kinda liking the geometry. Looks motocross inspired

bcredneck
11-27-2011, 02:52 PM
i wanted to make the frame as close to a motocross frame as posible it should look even more like one after i cut the back add swingarm mounts and a subframe
the swingarm will be the only part made with the bed frames but that will half to weight till i get back from a trip back to osoyoos

Where the heck are you going to rest your left foot ? On the exhaust?
your head angle looks a bit steep. Will make a great downhill bike :)

Is the blue pop bottle in the first pic the gas tank?

bcredneck
11-28-2011, 04:13 AM
ya i had a nos gas tank it was a crap bike but it was better than walking
ive gathered some parts to take back when i go home the only part i can build is the front end but found wheels some tripples to mod forks and for the first time front and back disk brakes theres a rear shock and axle around here some where to

Looking good! But it looks like you are loosing alot of suspension because your headtube is so long....is it not cut to length yet?

bcredneck
11-30-2011, 05:27 PM
ya my head tube needs to be cut 1'' and welded but its hollow so im going to put a bolt tru it for safety because if the trike lives thru my ''safey testing''(big jump) there will be a kid ridding it thats why im using front and back disk brakes and a reasonable sized motor
after im done this im going to make another to race this one

is the rear shock mounted or just laying there? anyway the geometry of it doesnt look like it will really work
its mounted but it way to soft im going to compress the shock weld chain to it and put a spacer in and grind the chain back off it needs 2'' less sag to be good for 65 lb

CRAZY70MAN
12-15-2011, 07:30 PM
"Baby got shock" !!!

bcredneck
12-15-2011, 07:52 PM
i welded the washer on the bottom of the spring up the shock 4'' it perfect 3/4'' sag with rider and 8'' travel before the frame hits the ground but to bottom it out i have to stand on it with my hands pushing on the ceiling im 150 the rider will be 65lb so it should be perfect
