I'm finding it impossible to remove the bolt that holds the swing arm so I can pull the engine on this bike! Any Ideas why I'm having such a hard time? I'm thinking about cutting the front of the frame so I can maneuver it out and weld it back later? Has anyone run into this problem on an 84 honda 250r like this?!

Your trike being 20+ years old may have something to do with it. Lots of people have this problem, not just with a 250r. Welcome to the world of owning 20+ year old machinery! LOL

Yep,,It's a strictly OFF ROAD vehicle, produced TWENTY NINE years ago ! ALL the crap and grit that poor thing has seen is packed and rusted in there nicely : ) Heat,,where safe,,is your friend,,the best trick, bar none ,I can give is this. Get help,,preferably two others, but one will suffice. Get a GOOD solid piece of pipe, just bigger than the diameter of the head of the sa bolt. If you don't have a SOLID ground base,,concrete,,big rock ,etc,,OR ,,if you just want a great tool to use again.. Weld a plate on the bottom. 12x12 or bigger. After you have heated, soaked,,beeswaxed,,whatever,,Lay the machine on it's side. Axle out,,it needs axle bearings and brakes anyhow,,Support the weight of the machine ON THAT PIPE. The pipe snugly around the FRAME where the sa bolt is coming out of. Now,,when you're slamming away,,ALL the force is going down the sa bolt..It WILL come out. You will be amazed at how much inertia you were losing just smacking it before.. You very well may dick up the threads,,,badly,,but it WILL come out. Good luck!

I used a brass hammer ( mallet ) and alot of brute force but be careful of not damaging the threads on that bolt. When i removed the swingarm off mine it took me over a hour i wanna say, I had to take the bolt to the machine shop at my job and had the first couple threads tapered down so i could screw the nut on it again.
Good luck
