I have been looking and looking and have had no luck at all. Do they even make Vforce3 reeds for the tri-z ? I have got these for all my 2 stroke toys and i sware by them . If Not what are decent replacement reeds for this bike ?
Thanks

Oh. OK , I looked on the internets and had no luck.
The VF3 reed cage that fits the Tri-Z was off a later year KX 125 dirtbike. Memory wants to say it was 2004 year that fit the Z. But dont quote me on that. I forget more than I care to these days.
But however, the reed pedals for the KX 125 were a different ridigity for the smaller engine. So if you just get the standard kit for the KX 125, they wont perform right on the 250. But, the 250R Pedals fit right in that cage. I believe the pedals were 682 M's.
There was also a certain model sled that ran em too.
Call V force..They will hook you up on what you need with the correct parts. We worked with them extensively when doing these, and they should have all the numbers in their records and are great people over there. They also sell a larger stuffer plate for the big bore Z engine, but you will want the standard stuffer for the 250 engine.
If you cant reach them, or they forgot, or lost the numbers, hollar and I will dig further for you.
It has been 5 years since I messed with them, but at the time I sold like 20 kits and I am sure I have the exact numbers if I dig hard enough to find them.

OK man. Thanks alot ! So your pretty much saying it's their cage for the kx125 but with 250R pedals on it ? Now when you say " 250R ", which 250R are we talking about ?
Thanks again for your time and i will give them a call .
Welcome. Actually thank Raffa too... He told me someone needed the VF3 info, so I jumped on for you guys. Hopefully it helps.
I should really write that exact info down somewhere quick, when I find it, for future reference.
And one day maybe you can venture away from Toledo over near Akron and hook up with some of the other Ohio riders.
They have quite a few events every year out near Akron. Races and Trail rides.
EDIT..And one more tip. You will have to cut the air diverters on your Stock Tri-Z boot to get it to mate to the VF3 cage. Or there was some billet intakes made as well to fit the Z, and let you run a bigger carb without stretching the snot out of the factory boot. I can get you that info to if you need it.

Exactly the last year of KX 125's or almost the last years. Not sure when they quit doing the KX 125's. When I dealt with them on this..Vforce was using 682 M pedals on just about every 250CC engine in every model cage. I am not sure if they changed numbers since then, so be sure to call them.
