diff for 250sx

i am looking for a diff for my 85 250sx. the one i have needs bearings but still pulls strong. the honda shop told me that some drilling needs to be done to remove the pinion locknut, is this true?

A rebuild is only a couple hours work with the right tools..you need to either drill or use a small pick punch to straighten the lock tab that is holding the pinion locknut in place..

That's no big deal..but you need the special tool to remove the nut!!
