there are several people on here that are 15. what is it that your trying to teach him on? theres a huge diffrent between teaching somone to ride a 110 and a 350x or 250r

At 15, theres not much you can tell them that they will actually hear! The laws of nature will not let them ride beyond their capabilities, and they will discover that as they "find" those limits.

The one thing you can do with your minor is mandate certain safety gear, mainly boots, helmet, and legs covered (no shorts). This will reduce teh chances of injury WHEN (no "if") he dumps it.

I would also like to dispell the myth that 110's, 125's, and 175's are good beginner trikes. While theyre not speed rockets, they will roll over if you sneeze, and are much harder to ride, and master than the bigger models. While the larger unsuspended 200S's and similar models are somehwat improved, they still leave something to be desired for beginners. The 350x, 250sx, and 200x are probably among the most stable, and easiest to ride followed by the 250 2 stroke racers. I learned on a 125 Trimoto, which I still refer to as "the death trap". I loved that trike, and it was a blast to ride, but without hesitation I can say Id much rather put a newbie on my TriZ.

I taught myself everything I know about riding. I only started seriously riding about February of this year(I was 15). I guess I am alot more level-headed then most folks though, so I took it easy and just progressively rode harder. One mistake I made though was I took a jump and wasn't prepared, so I was in the wrong position and wound up my my Tri-Z looking like it was molesting me or something, lol....I just turned it over and kept on riding though!

Make sure he knows what everything does and let him go. I learned in a honda 110 with the instructions of "thats the gas, thats the brake, there is the shifter." I gave it full throttal and then put it in gear. My brother just watched and laughed well I chased the bike down and got back on. After that I took it easy.
