I called Tyler at Metal Tech and he has specs to make a swingarm for the 85 Tri Z but I have an 86. I would imagine that they would be the same thing. Am I wrong?

The front bearings in the swinger are smaller on the 86. The rest might be the same. What would he make the swinger out of. and would it be extended any?

The 86 swinger will interchange between both years of the Z. As stated the 86 used smaller OD pivot bearings..
Cochrane, keep an eye out. It looks like there is going to be some custom pivot bushings made to fit both years of the swinger here shortly. There was a member making them at one time, but he stopped.

Are you going with roundhouse honda style carrier, or the traditional stock banshee carrier? Or the stock Z carrier?
The stock banshee carrier was quite different than the stock Z carrier. The calipers were different, the adjustment bolts were on the bottom of the Banshee, and the banshee brake rotor and hub were different, and larger than the Z, as were some other slight changes. These are questions you want to ask Metal Tech before he builds, so you know what you need to get.

I have most of the swinger parts dug up, we spoke of last week, and I will get the rest together tonite and send them out ASAP.
