I have been looking for some info on putting the cr80-85 front caliper on my rear caliper on the 200x .

i am a bit confused is it a bolt on swap ? or do i need the bracket from the 200x caliper ? (which i CAN NOT get off this piece of crap caliper i have now ) lol

i am trying to save some money as i dont want to pay $100+ for a 200x caliper

i already attempted to rebuild this one which was a waste of time and 25 bucks as it still leaks from the shaft where the parking break hits the piston .

You have to use the bracket from the 200x caliper, the CR85 bracket isn't quite right. Once you bolt that to the CR85 caliper, it will bolt right into place on the swinger.

Here's the one I put on my 200x. I painted it black to look like the 200x oem caliper. Pay no attention to the missing brake line :p. You can pick these up on eBay for about the price of a 200x caliper rebuild kit all day long.

If your allen is stripped,,get the caliper in a GOOD vise. Peel the rubber back and use vice grips. That bracket will come right off that caliper..

It pivots on another pin, with no bolt whatsoever,,slides right off! Obviously,,they are corroded on there,,but they will come off.

I was in the same boat as you with on my old 200x. I used the cr85 bracket. I had to grind it down a little to fit, but it did work with a little work.
