Just wondering what the options to fixing a bent rear axel, can you get them straightened out or do they need to be replaced? Can these be purchased new, or do you have to pick up a used one on EBAY? Finally is this an easy fix (6 pack) or should I be getting a dozen beers :)

Thanks Shortline10, I'm looking to trade an 88 XR250r for a 82 ATC250r, but the atc has the bent rear axel. I will be looking at the ATC this weekend, I believe I'm trading down, my bike has a totally rebuilt engine, but the ATC has a new top end and new tires all around. I'm excited to check it out, and I won't let the condition of the axel get in the way of making a deal. Any idea what it would cost to get straightened out at a shop? Thanks for responding :)

No sure about how much in your area but I get 35.00 if the axle is already removed .
