She was stored in a barn for 2 decades, so I am cleaning her up... I pulled the carb and noticed that the throttle valve is jammed in the carb... It will not budge, could it be gummed up, or maybe just misaligned... looks straight in but maybe off by a couple of ml...Any ideas on how to get this slide out? Any ideas or help would be so great.. thanks Jimmy

Take it off and soak it in evaporust or similar cleaner for a day or 2. You can find it at auto parts store or TSC. You will need to disassemble completely.....get a manual or pay attention when you take it apart to reassemble. Clean out every jet, orifice etc....... with a tiny wire from wire brush and blow it out with air. A schematic of the carb can be found on most parts websites. Yo may end up needing a rebuild kit or new carb if it is to far gone. Good luck....get it soaking

Diesel works or even kerosene,I bought a parts trike that someone had put sugar in the tank of it did a number on the carb locked up the slide pretty good. Soaked it for a couple of days in some diesel and it came around, still running that carb.

Something that's works really well to clean the jets in the carb also is a torch tip cleaning set. It has multiple size robbed wires to clean the jets. Moose racing used to make a motorcycle carb cleaning set that was identical to the torch tip set.
