Ok so I bought this Big bore stroker ATC 90 with a (Or what seemed to a ) stretched cylinder dowl, but it turns out, Its pulled outta the freakin case! So nearly all the threads are gone where the lower part of the dowl screws into. But, there is about a quarter inch of threads (or a little less) that are still good in the bottom hole, I'm wondering if I can tighten the dowl in there safely without damaging it more than it allready is and run it. Or I was also looking at having the hole tig welded up ,redrilled and tapped and be ready to rock. I am really trying to avoid spliting the cases,as I've it before to 250R's....and its a pain in the ass. (I hate to say as much as I love to work on stuff  )

Anyways heres a pic I have as of now. I'll take more on request.

Pic of the bottom end.

and a really crappy pic of the damaged hole I am talking about.

Anyone have any suggestions? (would be greatly appreciated)

you might be able to get away with drilling it out and installing a time sert insert unlike a helicoil a time sert is a one piece insert that will give you a completeley new thread to bite on . if this is a dowel pin stud where the stud threads start lower in the hole you will have to drill a counter sunk hole also that the time sert will fit down into like a shelf . the only thing i see being an issue is its broken threw already in the case where they bore the case for the bigger jug , worth a shot or like you said it can be filled with weld an re machines and tapped but you would have to strip it down to do that repair .
