Well, I am about to make a deal with the owner of what he says is a 225 for $50. I am going to see it in person later this week, but I wanted to see what you guys thought. For 50 bucks I wasn't expecting much, but I am having a hard time passing it up. Are my feelings to go for it misplaced?

Kinda looks like the forks are bent..best check the triples carefully before you call them good.
Wow was that trike ever left for dead..!!
These things are almost always worth more dead than alive..Definitely a part out money maker though.
Only place you could 'go wrong' is if you try to rebuild it!!

LMAO!! I thought about that. It would take a lot of $$$$ to rebuild it. Forks do look bent to me. I will most likely have them straightened. Guy says that it was running last time used, but that must have been 20 years ago!
This may be a noob question but, Trizilla, what is a pccc front end? Is that a brand?

He's talking about PCC Motors forks if I'm not mistaken, but most of them that I've saw are for smaller pit bikes, or inverts for larger bikes. They are junk, absolute crap.

Hey I was looking at that one too. I'm in north Austin-where are you? I just traded for an 84 225dx and am going to try and pick up another tomorrow. My riding buddy and me both have 85 250 BR's, then I picked up a klt 200-then the 225. I found another klt locally that I'm trying to work out a deal for an I really want the other 225. So if I can pull it off, we'll soon have 3 sets of three wheelers!

you are not accurate at ALL. those trees look to be made by a company called PCCC in santa clara california. they are an old school piece and hardly junk. the pair i had i sold for 3 times what they are asking for this whole bike.

Hey, that is awesome!!! I am in north Houston. I am picking this one up tomorrow. I hadn't had a chance to go get it yet, but I spoke with the current owner and its all set. This will make my first BR. I am excited!! Nice places to ride in Austin? Must be because that is an awesome area!

That is good to know! I just glanced over the bike, and I really didn't notice if they were PCCC. I will inspect much closer when I get it home.

Well, I contacted the owner before going to pick up the bike, and he told me that it was stolen from his back yard!! trailprotrailpro!! I can't believe it!! I fell asleep at the wheel on this one. If I would have rushed over there to get it would be in my hands instead of some jacktrailprotrailprotrailpro that decided to steal it!!

It almost sounds like a change of heart or someone offered him more for it, but you never know!

if it was stolen looks like they had to work for it. doesnt look like shed role that easy. sounds like he sold it and used that as an excuse IMO

If that is so, that is a chicken trailprotrailprotrailprotrailpro way of doing it. I would rather he told me the truth.

Thats one of those things that doesnt really take that much to figure out( if I can figure it out). There is probably alot of other big boy toys around that are probably easier to get and in way nicer condition. So other than a trike guy who would even want anything to do with this thing, you should have gotten it the first moment you had the chance and someone wouldnt of offered $75 when the guy said its sold just waiting for the guy to get it! It sucks but happens everyday. Keep you eyes peeled and I bet you will come across it again or parts from it anyhow!
