85. 86 polaris differences?

hey i got a polaris trike and id like to know how to tell what year it is.

The 86(or later model 85 model) had a reverse override and the exhaust sat on a pad rather than a ball, and the heat shield on the early 85's was out of wire rather than the vented sheet metal. The early 85's were different and the mid/later 85's/6's were the same basically. There are a few more differences, but nothing major.
