Can anyone here help with identifying this early 70's John Deere? That is about all we know about it from what research we could do. John Deere dealer is clueless.133402133403133404

Try contacting the factory. They used these and Gators to get around the plants. Hopefully some old timer there will have used one and will be able to tell you a story about them.

Very close. Mine has a 10 HP Tecumseh and the brake is on the floor, not the handlebars. How old is the ad?

How old is the ad?No idea, found it on the internet a few years ago. I remember seeing them in Popular Mechanics magazines.

Thanx. I found the same ad on eBay. It was for an '86 model. After looking harder, I do notice red paint where the green is chipped off, and where there used to be larger stickers on the sides of the bed. I think you have found the answer to the mystery! I think ours is a bit older due to the placement of the brakes and whatnot, but as far as some other images I've come across now, a Heald Hauler is what it seems to be. Thank you for your help!
