Hi Ok here the problem !. I own a tri-z 85 and I wanted him to run right before this winter... because this winter I will restore the entire trike. Ill do the Wrench Report Phase II .

Ok Now im altmost ready to try it out but dang Carb nozzle main just broke while were trying to jetting the trike for his new Dg exhaust. :( and this nozzle can only be found at yamaha under the fun 50$ can buck..:wondering
So in the wrench report they use a 38MM carb from an old yz250, so buying the nozzle for 50 buck only to try out he bike few moment before snow start falling down sound like a bad deal.

My friend have a 32MM keihin carb flatside from his Banshee.(he bough dual 32 mm flat sized then switched to a 2into1 Intake and running only 1 carb) So he could spare me his extra carb but is there a ways to know if the 470 main mikuni jet equal ?? keihin or the 45 slow jet equal ??keihin? All this to try to set the keihin like the mikuni.

And about the 38mm carb for wrench report. If im buying a 38mm mikuni flat (http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Mikuni-Geniune-TM-38mm-38-mm-Flat-Slide-Smoothbore-Carb-Carburetor-TM38-86-/200661828946?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2eb8608552) like that one. then the set-up they wrote in the report will be doable ?(Here's the carb jetting: needle jet, Q-0; jet needle, 6F45-3) those needle can fit the carb i Linked or this are from a different mikuni carb serie.

Thx

Mikuni jets are very different that Keihin. Go on-line and look up a converson chart. That 32mm of your friends should work well with the right jets, but you will still spend money on something you won't need soon. You might want to consider a 38mm Keihin now as you'll want one once you have that porting done and add a pipe. Why spend twice?
