Do the 85' Honda 250R and the 350X have an interchangable pivot bolt? Looking at the schematics, via bikebandit, they are only off by the last number so I was wondering if it is in fact the same piece. Also, do they share many of the same parts? Thanks. I'm looking for the pivot bolt for the swingarm and have a lead on one from a 350X.

no, they are different diameters for sure and maybe lengths. You need one for a 250r? call Lonestar racing and get the one for a 250r/400ex/450r. You can also get oem 400ex or 450r. Don't try to get oem 85-89 250r, its double the price of the same 400ex/450r bolt.

yep, I could go in to the bike shop and order a pivot bolt for an 85 250r- I think it was going to be like $69 and it had to be ordered. I asked for one for an 02 400ex (my bro's bike), $26, in stock. same bolt...

That was going to be my next question... Does it matter on the year for the 400ex?
