whats up guys i just put a new timing chain on my alt 125 and it was fine for a while but after a couple days it has started to tick a little bit. i'm wondering if this is normal after putting on a new chain? like maybe after a new one is put on it stretches a little and an adjustment is needed?. i dont know i guess i just dont want to have to put another one on. if you have any suggestions i would appreciate it. thanx alot guys.

All chains are always streaching, but there are limits. I don't know your trike, or how your adjuster works (auto, or manual), but the people who do and can answer your question are going to want to know what kind of chain you put on (OEM, or a $10 Chinese knock-off) 'ticking a bit" is a tough thing to comment on without hearing the tick. A chain should not tick regardless of how it is adjusted. All air cooled motors sound loud compaired to the water cooled models, my Yamaha sounds like a bag of watches at times, but I have gone back through the whole valve train a couple of times and there is nothing wrong with it. I guess I could reduce it by tightening the lash a bit, but loose is the safest way to set your valves.
Take a broom handle or hockey stick and place it at different points on your engine while it is running at the other end on your ear. You will find the source of the tick easily. I suspect it will be loudest at your exaust valve. If you are sure of your lash settings don't worry about it. If not go ahead and set them, but some noise is normal. If the sound is loudest below the head you may have other issues, but first things first.
