i posted about this in Defender86's thread by mistake, but anyway i think the 125 is the biggest oem stocker that can fit (basicly 90, 110 and 125 are the same motor), but not positive though on how well it swaps in. i have never done it. suprised more 70 owners haven't chimed in. :wondering

sidenote: i keep hearing/reading that those lifans are pretty much level with the these old Honda motors. maybe better with parts being more readily available i would imagine.

Same here. Ive got a 1971 SL70 that lost 3rd gear. While I split the cases I bored the case and bought a 95cc kit. I'm not done with it yet.
I've also got a 110cc 2000 Z50 (not Chinese). This thing totally rips. I've dusted 2 different XR100's with it.
And I also put an 88cc kit on a 1975 XL70. Its stock under that and I gotta say I'm pretty impressed with just an 88cc kit. But an XL does have better ignition, carb, exhaust, head and cam vs an ATC70.

My stuff is not for sale. I was just telling you some different CC options I have done with a Honda 70 and my review on them. Isn't that what you wanted to know.

What I was suggesting was not swapping a motor at all but doing some mods to your existing engine. There are no other Honda engines that will just bolt in other than another 70 or 50.
You can buy an 88cc big bore which incudes a cylinder, piston, pin, rings and gaskets for like $110. www.dratv.com

I'm not real familiar with the TRX90 engine but I think there would be other complications with that swap such as electronic ignition and electric start. It would be a lot easier to stick with your ATC70 engine and adding a $110 big bore.

My buddy put an atc110 motor in his 70. Needed a little fab work, but it wasnt that hard, The bike rips.

The trx90 motor fits in a 70 frame. The atc110 motor is not to hard to make it fit, but the best bang for your buck is going to be an aftermarket engine

I was told by the guys at hondatc70.com that just a stock bottom end of a trx90 will fit and there 114 bb on it and your golder an entire motor from a trx 90 wouldnt.
