Alright alot of you guys on here race. i know theres mx, circle track, ice racing, and multiple types of drags. I've got a different idea that i want to do with my 250r and being 15 i think it would be a good start... I want to do freestyle, i know im a little  in the head but so far its been sleds ,quads, and bikes but i want to bring back the good ole trike in to a very awesome sport, how many will dissagree?

The only problem i see is not enough people to compete with. Trikes weren't built to take as big of falls as new quads are so not too many people would be jumping them high enough to do tricks. Beyond that is that not everyone is into doing tricks. I'm sure if you searched enough you could get enough people for a small gathering, or at least practice with some friends who own dirtbikes. Ive seen a vid of a guy pulling off some pretty awesome stuff on a 250sx though, so who knows

i think it would be awesome to get a small team together. would get people noticing u for doing it on trikes. the big problem is as stated above. they were not built to jump like that. u would need to super gusset the frames and do some crazy new suspension. i'd watch it

with the rarity of the parts and such for the type of 3 wheeler you'd probibly need, it might be cheaper in the longrun to just buy a newer quad and have it custom made into a 3 wheeler. i know there just might be a couple members on here that might try that challenge.

have you ever done any freestyle before? or ever hit a kicker ramp? you don't need several 3 wheelers to do it. the motorcycle freestyle guys will welcome you with open arms. the quad guys will also welcome you but not near as much as the motorcycle guys. what do you ride. you will have to be a GREAT freestyler to not trash a stock vintage 3 wheeler. you should be doing it on a TPC trike if you are going to try it. it would be the safest way.

talking about freestyle and doing freestyle are two very differant things. if you have never hit a kicker? you will sh** you pants the first time you see that gap.

Hell, alot of places dont even let trikes run on them. Have you even checked into seeing if they would allow it in competition? Might be a good idea before doing the build.

im just going to star it on my back yard this winter, ive hitt nateral kickers but they were small, i was going to try it with my quad but i think it would be cool to do it with my trike, i talked my buddy into doing it and im going to talk his bro into doing it to, but they are prolly going to have 250's if not the one is going to have a zilla hybrid

a zilla hybrid?? as in a zilla trike?? or a zilla motor in a different frame?? like a more capable TRX250r

exactly! :beer
with the parts i figure you'd go through just learning stuff, you'd be better off starting with something newer that has readily available parts and more power to boot.

it is not likely you ever hit a natural terrain kicker. if it is not a steal curve it is likely just a nice jump. a real kicker will lift you close to 30 feet in the air on a 60 foot gap.

Listen to Jensen here. Not only does he talk the talk, he walks the walk.

He just happens to walk about 50' in the air.

just a kicker. a super kicker will give you backflips. and about 30 foot in the air with a 48 foot gap.

you may be a little late to be the first to freestyle on a 3 wheeler. this was on a TPC trike

well i never jumped my 250r really yet, my rear shock is a pogo stick and i got to figure out what pressure to run in my forks, i dnt really mind being the 2nd or 3rd or so on to do freestyle on a trike, but if i had money i would deffinatle get a tpc trike. i accualy plan on building a good size table top out of snow this winter or make a dirt one, just to star off small then work my way up

That's sick!!! The only jump I ever tried was a big hill in my front yard. Got about 6 or 8 feet of air after that I decided I'll stick to the ground but doing freestyle is still cool and very fun to watch.
