So I am doing a full restoration of this ytm200e I bought for $175 off of craigslist. This is the pic of the day I got it, but now it is in bare frame. I searched for these questions but did not find the answers. So here it goes.

1. Can someone tell me for real what year and model it is. S/N on both motor and frame is 24w-004850
2. I had trouble getting front axle loose, and i broke several pieces including the hub. I looked around and most I see on e-bay are 3 lug, this one I have is a 4 lug. Did someone change this or do I have something rare? Can I go with a 3 lug?
3. What can I do about getting front and rear racks for this? I believe it came with them. The back plastic and frame have provisions for bolts for the rear rack, but it's missing.

Thanks for the help in advance. I look to stay on this forum for a long time. I've been reading it for years now, but just now joined.

I have lots of pics of the tear down I can post if anyone wants me to.

MonroeMike, where did you come up with this information? I have the clymer manual and can't find anything about the vin# in it. I found one page on this site that lists it as a ytm200ek, but I believe the K is chain drive and not shaft drive, correct? Any info would be helpful!!

For the 200's
YTM200 = Chain drive
YTM200e = Shaft drive (AKA Yamahauler)
K, L or N = Year

YTM200e's (Yamahaulers) have 4 lug (25" tires)

let me do some measuring for you as I have both 3 lug and 4 lug front hubs, no sorry they are not for sale as they are being used on running machines, but it will be nice to be able to tell you wether you can buy a 3 lug and swap it out . One thing I know for sure you are going to need new forks soon, and that the triples that are used with the four lug are wider than the three lug setup. What part of the hub did you break? I have some 200 parts still up for sale if you are interested including a shft drive axle and a chain drive axle, and many more. my chain driven 200 had 4 lug tires and rims which conflicts with what mike said, and if there is one thing I've learned with ytms is that so much interchanges between 225 and 200 models you never know what you are going to get. Let me know what parts you may need and I will let you know if I have it

Yes the oil drain plug. How much for the plastics, and I saw in your pics, the grab bar with the plastic box.

I just bought a bunch of parts from Ben6266. I am planning on getting the frame powder coated sometime this month and begin reassembling. Does anyone have a recomendation on a piston and rings? My cylinder is out of spec, which I assume is why it smoked. I planned on going with wiseco if they made one. Thanks.
