sure wish i could have been there. our sand areas like that are completely worn out. have you guys ever tried a set of 20 inch knobbies with a soft sidewall? i had much better luck hill climbing in that terrain with a soft knobby.

The hardtails period is past,.(we still riding it but less then before)...Since 2 years we buy ATC 350X / 250R,...
And this years 2 of us have buy TRX 250R (the 2 in vid)....and i think i need one!

Dont rember the year of YZ, but its a old one,...maybe 87??
....and YES it need more traction!!

The ATC 250R have stock swingarm,...the way the fender was cut look like it is longer!

For Metallica song is very a coincidence,...i did not remember the Cliff died!
But i took the idea of this song from the beginning of the movie 'Zombie Land'

For the 700xx,...it is trail bike,...take care of it!

This is your best video yet! That sand pit looks like so much fun. I think those Pro-wedge/4 snows are about as good as it gets for that terrain. Plus they are amazing in the snow as you already know.

I don't think anyone will turn down a video like that here just because of a few quads. I know I love all the vintage bikes no matter how many wheels.

I would say as long as it has SOME trike footage you can post it in in this section of the site. If you make one that doesn't have any trike footage at all you can still post it here at 3WW just post it in the quads section.

i in no way want to take from your video, it is a great video. also i understand that video makes things look much easier than they are. that being said, i have never used 4 snow in this terrain but it looks like to me they have just a slight to much traction. with the right gearing i like the stock 350X tires for 22s or stock 400EX tires for 20s. (most people will think i am nuts) you can spin much more consistent in the higher RPMs with much less grabbing but still have more than enough traction. it is almost splitting hairs here because you guys are getting around great still and it is also a matter of just how course your sand/gravel mix is.

I'm a big fan of the 400ex tires in loose stuff too. Actually I like the yfz450 tires a little more even though they're close to the same thing. Even out in the big dunes they work surprisingly well.
