Kfx, looks like it to me. in the first pic you can see the Yamaha coming through from the otherside and it does look hollow underneath. :beer

The stock Tri-Z's used the tank area for air box & the fuel tank was under the seat. There are guys who've used the Tri-Zinger tank and/or made their own custom (aluminum, usually) fuel tank to sit where a fuel tank usually goes.
