Just a little tech tip. I finally cracked into the 76 CB200T that has been "sleeping" since 1987 tonight. The bike only has 1400 original miles, so I think I'm gonna do this one up real nice. While cleaning the sludgy remains of the 16 year old gas from the carburetors, I accidently punctured one of the floats with a screwdriver, and instantly felt stupid. Honda wants $22 for a new float, so I called my dad to ask if he had any extras laying around, as he is a mechanical genius, and has just about one of each of Honda's early 70s lineup. He asked me if I had tried soldering the hole, and I felt stupid once again. I cleaned the float, fluxed, and soldered the hole right up, and sanded off the excess solder so as not to add too much weight. Anyway, I saved a few bucks, and all it cost me was a little embarrassment with the old man. Just thought I'd share in case anyone makes a bone-head mistake like me.
