Hey guys this is a continuation of a previous post. Problem sputters heavily when I get to roughly 75% throttle. Starts on first kick, idles great, pulls great on low end. I have an air box no lid unifilter, replaced stator and ignition coil, jetted from 130 to 190 on the main with no difference at all. PWK 38 keihin. New reeds that are ok. Carb is clean as a whistle. compression is 176.5. 93 octane. FMF Fatty. Slide goes all the way up. I get a good spark. WHAT AM I MISSING!!!! There are no leaks. Several new spark plugs. PLEASE HELP!!!!!:wondering:wondering:wondering

My R would do that. It was an 85. But once it got hot it would hit the powerband everytime

igntion... My quadracer did this. I swapped jets from 145-200 with very little change. I even tried a bigger fuel petcock and raised the floats. It still gave severe lean symtoms on the main circuit. I eventually tried a stator from a friends bike and finally isolated the problem. My stator tested within spec and made a nice spark, yet gave the same symptoms as yours.

Thats what I thought. The stator was the first thing I changed with no effect followed by the ignition coil. The only thing I havent messed with is the CDI box? Could it be the CDI?

yes it could be because your cdi box controls the time when the spark plug will fire at any rpm
