Hello All,

I'm hoping someone may have an NOS Maier or Phase-5 White Number Plate lying around, for my 1982 DG Racer. I think that I prefer the more streamline style plate (see 1st pic, and plate on the left in Phase-5 ad), rather than the Phase-5 style I currently have. I realize DC Plastics make a plate similar to the Maier, but I was hoping to go the vintage NOS route, if possible.

Please see the attached pics. I believe pic#1 came from Orange County on this site.

Thanks much!

Eric

DC Plastics is a company that makes repop dirtbike and atv plastics. They have really stepped it up to remake the discontinued stuff. Tri-Zinger front fender, UFO Tecate front plate, and the Maier plate copy

Ahh there she is !!! Still looking great eric.. yes I agree the plate that is in the pic that Bill k posted would fit the racer nicely , the plate setup on that bike now is actually one that was made for the early tecates but at the time all i could find that would kind of fit the look . if you find one with the smooth finish not vented i still have I beleive the file on my vinyl cutter for those numbers so they match the rear fenders. Lookin good ..

I just bought a white one like on the bike... I wish he made the middle plate.... thoe's are the one's I want!!! He has a cagiva plate thats pretty sharp also... he will make em in any color he currently runs... he made my white Z shrouds on my 490 also.. super thick and rigid!!

here's the cagiva plate,, I should e-mail him and see how mutch smaller it is than a tecate plate. http://www.dcvmx.com/xcart/product.php?productid=18114&cat=&page=1

I wondered when you said about buying your X for the plate!? Call DC and own it ! There are some decent repops going on for 3 wheelers,,,not a lot,,but some. There's a guy doing 86-7 Tecate headlight shrouds and scoops. Jeswinehart on here does a lot of cool stuff too..

I didnt see that number plate on the r pictured above but its been awhile since I looked on DC. That Kawasaki one looks pretty nice if it matches honda red.

Yes, that plate in the first pic was mine. I traded off a few years back .

I need this number plate......with the extra set of tabs that run down to the fender. Does anyone know who made this one?

I like that cagiva plate DC makes.

DC plastics - i never heard of them until just now. Why dont they get to making more ATC fenders? Might be better than the quality-lacking Maier fenders

I appreciate that DC plastics is making things and have nothing bad to say about them.
However at my last check, Maier is a better looking plastic, fit and finish is also better in comparison. I have products from both companies.
DC still uses the old textured style dull matte finish plastic that Maier dropped years ago, in favor of shiny smooth plastic..
I would like to see them get into the shinier finish plastics.

Orange county that plate in your pic looks just like the maier plate I got for my build. It came with separate stand offs that go on the forks to mount the plate. Not liking how it fits if i use it I'm going to end up make my own mounts. The package was older than 86 Ive never seen the maier logo that was on it. If you want I can send you some pics.
