check to see if the fuse is blown, it is underneath the seat near the battery because if the fuse is blown you electric star will not work. Also is your key switch still entact? If not ,,,the problem could be with a bare wire grounding on the frame. Also sometimes kill switches go bad and stay in the off position causing loss of spark. Try these steps then we will go from there, we will figure it out!! I have a 200ES and have had spark problems in the past,, it is a BIG NO NO to use jumper cables to jump start your bike, this will result in in burning up your "969" CDI box, I learned that the hard way, lol.

hey there chuck230e, welcome.
Free manuals in the 'world class help'
section may come in handy for you.

If you use the key, it may be looking for a signal from the 'neutral safety switch'
whether the starter works or not..

I'd start with the wire diagrams so you have an idea about the 2 different 'run' circuits.
Sometimes they'll spark with pull only.
Way too confusing to describe without you familiar with the wire diagrams.

I had 2 identical machines that I could swap known working parts with.
Didn't help.

Then I read that people got so frustrated with the 'no spark' condition, that they replaced the entire wire harness,
only to admit the old ones were prob ok but the trikes now run because they HAD TO go thru
every electrical connection and frame ground.

The CDI unit may get it's ground for the machine TO run from the kill switch circuit.
Some models actually do.
And the cdi can get it's ground to KILL the engine from the same kill switch circuit.

If I had it to do again, I'd make a poster size of the wiring diagrams and stare at them for a while.

Sure hope yours is just a fuse or something super easy, but Please keep us posted.

ps - the 'search' key may help and get you tons of info instantly.
I'd try "200es no spark" or something similar.
