hi my rear brake on my 86 250r seams to be soft i put new pads & serviced the calaper & put stanless braded line and dot 5fluid but still there is not a good fealing from the pedal it almost has to go full down to lock up i serviced the front brake and it has great fealing would it be my master cylinder is there any other master cylinder that fits these bikes i know my old trx250r had a master-cylinder from cr250 but i dont know if this will work on atc can any one help with this thanks tom

bleed,,bleed,,bleed..bleed......... you still have air somewhere......

Simple. For the rear brakes. Start at the Front. Bleed at the bolt holding your hose on the master,,then bleed at the bolt holding the hose in the caliper.. Then bleed at the bleeder. Fr to back,,she'll firm right up. I haven't done any res swapping,,but I think alot use the 400EX fronts.

According to a member here named 3 legged dog, he says a Suzuki z 400 quad rear master cylinder is a direct bolt on for the 85-86 250R.
I have not tried it myself though, but I believe his info to be good.
