Keggs

There is no problem changing over to semi-synthetic, or non-synthetic oil. I use Shell Rotella, or Chevron Delo in my ATC.

Best regards,

Ray

there is no reason to use synthetic in the transmission,,, if things get to slippery the clutch won't hold.... i run 15/40 in all my transmissions except the yfz 450.

Honda's 250r factory service manual calls for 10w-40. Thats what I run (specified wet-clutch safe/motorcycle)........ HOWEVER, alot has changed with oil since 1985. I know of alot of people here who like Kasey, run 15w-40 with no adverse effects. ATF as mentioned by Harry seems to be another popular alternative. Just thought I would post up what Honda recommended in case thats what you were looking for.

remove the OIL CHECK bolt, if it drips out the Hole it's full... if not keep adding till it does.
