O.K. 86 t-3. Got the powervalves working properly. Has no low end, seems rich. When you really get on the throttle, it will blow out and GO. Running 260 main. Mixing pj1 2t at 50:1. Donno the pilot # (where is the #'s on the little suckers anyway?) Do I need to change pilots, move needle clip, or play w/ air screw? Where is the air screw? I know, I know get a manual..... Working on that, got the 84 master manual, can't find 86 supplement. What is stock pilot jet? The stock main is 265 right? Can't really do plug chops here not enough room. Also smokes prettg good compaired to the r's and the z. Thanks for any and all help. Oh, has 175lbs. compression.

Cut the pilot way down, had 35 went to 17.5 (all I could find) also dropped the needle. Still acts pretty much the same. Any ideas?

Check the size of you throttle valve cutaway, also check to see if your choke is hanging up.

only `175 PSI? Isn't that low for a T3, I think I read somewhere they're supposed to be 190+. But, your problem sounds like mine, leaking crank seals and I needed a bore. Both of those will kill low end, but allow top end to seem normal. good luck bud ;)

sounds like seals to me :( i just replaced mine, you have to split the lower end. it also sounds like you still have a power valve issue. di you take them apart? mine were working before but the previous owner had them timed wrong. it was a night and day difference in power. if it has the stock carb you should junk it. get a later model flat slide. sorry i can help on the carb but i run a 40mm flat slide 8)

the standard is fine to rebuild the lower. thet are alomst the same. the only difference is the centrifigual weight for the power valves. when you take it apart leave the trany bolted to the right case and it will be simple. just remove enough stuff to get the crank gear off and then split the case. talk to your kawasaki dealer about some case sealer and use a 85 kx250 gasket set. use a 86 tecate seal set. the shifter seals are different for some reason :?

The throttle valve is what your throttle cable lifts to mix the fuel with air in the carb.
