350X Brake Hose Guide

So I fabbed up a replacement wire part for my 350X brake hose guide. I used an 1/8" stainless welding rod. I just wasn't sure how to finish off the top under the bolt head. I made a complete loop (well, almost complete). What did it look like from the factory? Does anyone have a picture of how it looked under the bolt head? You can see in the pics that I haven't welded the wire to the bracket. I'm gonna have a buddy TIG it at work to keep it nice and tidy (I'm a hack welder).

I'm pretty sure the OEM part looks about like that. That is a great job. Ru gonna make some to sell?? I would request one that is about 1.5 inches shorter. I think the stock size of that loop is just not necessary. Let us know.

Esp, if you have one of those benders that makes anything, these are very easy to reproduce.

Thanks everyone for the kind words! I have to be perfectly honest: I really didn't intend to market this. I really just wanted to be sure to do the part under the bolt head correctly.

I wish I had the nice wire bending tool. I just did these by hand using a vice and sockets. I know, it sounds pretty hackish... but I think it turned out ok. But it does take a while.

I don't have a stock of the brackets, so if anyone wants these, they'll have to send me their original one. I could then put the new stainless wire on it. I've been watching e-bay, but any of the buy-it-now parts go for ridiculous money. (EDIT: I just realized I wasn't thinking: I can just make the wire part available and let you guys attach it to your bracket yourself if you choose...)

The only other problem/question I've got is what to do about the plain steel bracket part. I'd like to powder coat it with a nice silver / clear combo I've got. But I'd hate to cover up the nice stainless looking wire. I think in the long run, PC'ing the whole getup is the way to go. I'll have to try it out on my two (I have a second one to do) and let you guys see what you think. I've had one on my 1st 350x that was just beadblasted, but not protected in any way and for sure, it will start to rust a bit.

What are the basic dimensions of the "loop"? I have the bracket but nothing to base the loop on. Thanks Murf.
