Anyone replaced the rear suspension on their 250es? If so, what did you use, how much, and what were your results?

swing arm bearings, 20 bucks and about 4 hrs work, mostly looking for tools
and avoiding suggestions.
Never fooled with the shock except to take it off and back on.
We keep all the rear shocks adjusted to the lightest setting for farm work and adjust a little stiffer for the dunes.
but the adjustment range seems to cover our (occasionally bizarre/overloaded) needs.

I have seen others do it, but I believe it would cause the ujoints on the shaft to wear out really quickly if you raised it more than an inch or two.
It isn't worth the risk of collateral damage in my opinion...

I am running a 2001 Raptor 660 rear shock with the adjustable reservoir on my 250sx. Only had to modify one bolt hole diameter. For me, it make a huge difference. It's seems a little stiff at first, but on the lightest settings, it's perfect for the trails and towing around things.
