I have just purchased a yamaha tri moto 125 & it will not start. It sat for a very long time. I removed the carb & soaked it for awhile, cleaned it, checked the floats to make sure they weren't stuck & freed up the throttle cable, i cleaned the gas tank out & put fresh gas in it, checked to make sure it has oil, & spark, turned the switch to run, turned the gas on & pulled for a long time. The carb is getting gas so im stuck now. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I dont want to take it to a yamaha dealership & drop it off because i know ill pay out the rear end to get it running properly. Thank you.

Compression check? I'd check the plug to see if it's wet, then I'd do another tear down of the carb to ensure it is not blocked as well as see if the air screw isn't in some crazy spot (like 1/2 turn out or 5 turns out). Spark/ fuel, then all that is left is compression (with a bit of timing).

Don't forget air........ Check your air filter.... if you have air/spark/fuel. You're good to go.

i took the air filter off completely until i got it running. It seems like the plug has more oil on it than gas or maybe no gas at all? I was thinking the carb might still be blocked too. How do i check the timing?
