Well... Silver Lake in MI was a blast.... unfortunately, the ole Z took a dive for me...
My last time out (little did I know, it wouldn't be a whole run) she revved up and then just locked completely up. I have her home in the garage looking all sad.... Planning on this weekend tearing into the motor to see what I'm into... Wish me luck. :P

Do you mix, or use the injection system?

To the best of my knowledge *wink* Tri-z's don't have injection units. (#joke) I always mix ... 37 / 39 to 1.

Yeah about the only things with oil injection are Blasters and YT175's I believe. (Old school road bikes excluded)

Could have swore Z's had an injection of some sort, most older Hoppers did anyway, the YT125 & 175s as well. I just know alot of the old injections systems are prone to go out, which would cause what you'd mentioned. Anyway, nevermind me then.

Z's run a fuel pump due to the fuel tank bein under the seat. Those oil injection units fail cause they run off of a plastic gear. One of the first things I delete on Blasters.

possible plugged jet or maybe a cracked intake boot or crank seal?

Detonation caused that. Ignition timing, bad fuel, lean mixture, no water flow leading to overheating.
