alright guys i need a little help. i just got this 250r and its my 3rd one ive had. im getting ready to pull the rear bearings cause there shot and on the rear axle there is this spacer and ive never seen this on any of my other 250s ive had. ive even looked at pics of other peoples and same thing nothing. just wondering if there is anyone that might know y its like this. i know y its there just want to know if anyone else has seen one like this before? thanks Robert:wondering

Hi Robert,

I noticed the very same distance spacer on the CMS website yesterday when I was looking for bearing carrier seals and it confused me too. It must of been a late mod Honda did at the end of the 2nd gen production run or something. I have NOS axles for my 83 & 84r's and they do not allow for the addition of this spacer ( the thread for the lock nuts would be closer to the wheel).

Does your bike still have the date of manufacture sticker on the frame?

Yeah I got the higher #. a question to u guys I looking for some good reasonable priced rear bearing. Any good suggestions?

my best advice to you is get oem bearings they last the longest in my experience

Alright so I'm not the only one. Do u know why the put it on there and left a big gap? Just wondering

my best guess would be to keep the chain off the locking nuts if the chain pops so they don't get messed up. only a guess though
